Windrush Voices: In Their Own Words
A Windrush Day Celebration — Free Entry
22 June 2026 | Full Gospel Revival Centre, 2 Collygate Road, Nottingham
Doors open 6:00pm | Event begins 7:00pm
On Windrush Day 2026, Windrush Voices invites you to an evening honouring the Windrush generation of Nottingham — the men and women who came from the Caribbean with courage, faith, and hope, and built a community that still stands.
Hear their stories in their own words. Feel the music they brought with them. Celebrate the generation that shaped this city.
The evening includes:
- The première of 4 short films drawn from intimate conversions with 10 Windrush Elders.
- Live panel conversations with the elders themselves.
- A live band bringing the sounds of the Caribbean — ska, calypso, and beyond.
- Steel pan filling the room with the music of a generation.
- Powerful spoken word and live performance.
- Caribbean food and refreshments from 6:00pm.
Free entry (get your free ticket on the link below). All welcome. This is a night for the whole city.
Presented by Windrush Voices. Hosted at Full Gospel Revival Centre, Nottingham.
Supported by the Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2026.
